Spring is Here {ALMOST}

With Spring finally around the corner, and the weather beginning to warm up. You may be starting some house projects or working on some spring cleaning. As you begin looking around your house, what are some concerning things you should keep an eye out for?

Interior and Exterior Cracking:

Cracks in your bricks, sidewalks or drywall is never a good sign. Or maybe you have some cracks in your floors? Painting over these cracks or fixing the mortar in your brick isn’t going to fix what caused these cracks. It’s important to know that these things can be a sure sign you have some foundation settlement.

Sticking Doors or Windows:

With the nice weather you may be opening your doors to get some fresh air flow through your house but if your windows are more difficult this year that could also be a sign you have some settling around your home. Some settling is normal, but our specialist are trained to know the difference between normal settlement of a house and something to be concerned about. Also, those sticking doors are probably not a good sign either. If you have to adjust your door on the hinges or sand down the side of your door to close properly, it’s time to have us come take a look at it.
